Ecuador is the host of the 68th LMHI Congress that takes place from 04 - 07 June 2013 in Quito, Ecuador. It is organized by the Ecuadorian Homeopathic Medical Society (SOMHE), a private and non-profit organization recognized by the Ecuadorian Health Ministry, whose members are professional doctors. The Ecuadorian Medical Federation recognized homeopathy as a specialty in 1998, giving the members of SOMHE acceptance and prestige. The main theme of the congress is "The paradigm of Homeopathic Medicine", subtopics are Quantum physics in Homeopathic Medicine, Homeopathy and Modern Philosophy, and the Standards and Legality in Homeopathic Medicine. In their welcome message, the organizers invite all interested homeopaths to gather and participate in the 68th Homeopathic Medical League Congress 2013 "to share our efforts, doubts and progress that have been achieved with a new paradigm. Nonetheless, we also invite you to enjoy the wonderful scenery of Ecuador and its capital, claimed to be the first world´s heritage, and to glimpse the beauty of the jungle, beaches and, of course, the Galápagos Islands."

The 67th Congress of the LMHI (LMHI Congress 2012) was held in Nara, Japan, from 14-17 September 2012. Thanks to the efforts of the Japanese Physicians Society for Homeopathy (JPSH) in cooperation with the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis (LMHI), the Congress ended as a great success. More than 300 homeopathic doctors from 32 different countries of the world, including 196 participants from Japan, came together to share their advances in interesting and useful approaches to homeopathic solutions. "We believe that the success of this congress will further enhance the value of LMHI and the betterment for the future studies", stated Dr. Ronko Itamura, Senior Director of JPSH and the LMHI's National Vice-President for Japan. As a result of the discussion at the congress, the following conclusions were reached:

From 01-04 December 2011, more than 2000 participants from 33 different countries of the world came together at the Sirifort Auditorium in New Delhi, India, to jointly celebrate not only the 66th World Homeopathic Medical Congress of the international homeopathic medical society Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis (LMHI) but also the LMHI's reunion with its Indian Chapter.

LMHI Delegation Meets with President of India 

On 4 December, the closing day of the congress, LMHI officials ceremoniously presented an official memorandum to the President of India at an afternoon reception in the President's House requesting the continued support of the Indian government for the promotion of homeopathy in India, the country that is at present a homeopathic hub with the highest number of homeopathic colleges, doctors, hospitals and followers in the world.

LMHI Governance Meetings

Prior to the Congress opening the LMHI's International Council (IC), consisting of the National Vice-Presidents and National Contact Persons from more than 70 LMHI member countries, held their annual IC-meeting.

New LMHI Executive Committee Elected

Prior to the Congress opening the LMHI's International Council, consisting of the National Vice Presidents from about 70 LMHI member countries, elected a new Executive Committee on May 18. The new President is Dr. Jose Matuk Kanan (Mexico).

Homeopathy on the Move: Strategies and Criteria for Healing

For two centuries, thousands of homeopathic medical doctors have treated thousands of patients, all around the world, for most diverse pathologies. Thanks to the publications and the meetings between colleagues - at regional, national and international levels - a huge pool of clinical experience has been and is still being gathered. Today more than ever, this knowledge is circulated thanks to permanent exchanges among practitioners. However, the distribution of this clinical matter seems often very heterogeneous, both in regard to the management and analysis of the cases described by colleagues and in the criteria taken into account for healing. We would like the French LMHI Congress to be an opportunity to reflect on the question and to share experiences. Are there various levels of healing for homoeopaths? If so, which ones? Do they differ from the ones identified by allopaths? A last but fundamental question is: which strategies are applied in your practice? They are manifold depending on the teaching you received, on the experience and on the knowledge you acquired, on the opportunities offered by your consultations, even on the ideology of some. We rely on all of you for carrying on this debate and continuing to open the horizon of the future. The central theme of the Congress will therefore be: Homoeopathy on the move. Strategies and criteria for healing.
